Contract positions are much the same as "temporary”,
although the assignments are typically longer, with many as long
as months or years. Such contingency positions might be needed due
to an increase in client’s workload; to replace personnel
on leave; to circumvent a hiring freeze; for special projects; or
to supplement internal recruiting efforts.

Often times our clients prefer to keep contractors on our payroll
here at Adecco Technical for a while, to give both you and they
the time to determine if this will be a mutually beneficial hire.
The process works exactly like our regular contract services, but
with an agreement to transition you from an Adecco Technical employee,
directly to our client’s payroll, at an agreed upon time.
Typically, the terms of such a transaction will include a stipulation
that you would remain on Adecco Technical's payroll for a certain
number of hours, weeks, or months. There, of course, is never any
fee involved to you, as the employee, in this process.
When the hire is critical, the skills you possess are unique and
in demand, it extremely important for our clients to enlist in our
services, as an expert. We know the industry, have direct contact
with and understanding of you as a candidate and professional, and
are able to quickly make the match. Again, being placed as a direct
hire to one of our clients never involves a fee to you.
We stand firm behind out commitment to respecting your confidentially
as a candidate in our network, and your commitment to your current
employer. We will never solicit your name or resume to any of our
clients without your prior knowledge and consent.
The 401(k) plan allows you to have pre-tax payroll deductions taken
from your check and placed in a tax-qualified retirement plan.*
The amount of money that you may have deducted is 1%–20% of
your weekly gross pay.
If you decide to enroll in the plan, you will also
select where to invest your money from a group of investment choices
provided to you by the plan.
You will be eligible to enroll in the plan as of the
first day of the calendar month following three months of service
with Adecco Technical. Full details of the plan will be provided
to you at that time.
This employee handbook provides only some of the features
of the Adecco Technical associate employee 401(k) plan. If you have
any questions regarding the plan, please contact your Adecco Technical
office. If there is any real or apparent conflict between this brief
outline and the provisions of the Summary Plan Description, the
official Summary Plan Description will apply.
* A Non-Qualified Savings Plan is available for highly-compensated
associates according to the IRS definition
Adecco Technical has established a funded anniversary bonus plan
to reward associates who make an extended work commitment to us.
This plan has been established in accordance with the provisions
of the Employment Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).
Anniversary bonus benefits are paid to eligible associates by or
on behalf of a trust established for the purpose of funding anniversary
bonus benefits.Based on having worked 2080 straight time from your
start date or from the date of your last anniversary bonus payment
and still being on assignment with Adecco Technical, you may qualify
for a bonus payment of 40 straight time hours. Anniversary bonus
payments may take up to five weeks to process after you qualify.
Anniversary Bonus checks take 2-5 weeks to process after you qualify.
Adecco Technical offers you six paid holidays:
• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
Eligible associates are to work an average of 35 hours
minimum per week at Adecco Technical for 60 calendar days prior
to the holiday, and the associate must work the full available workday
before and after the holiday. (Holiday hours are not used in computing
overtime hours in the week they occur.) This payment is separate
from your weekly earnings.
If you want to learn new skills or brush up on old ones that are
in high demand, Adecco Technical will help pay for your classes.
We will reimburse you as you complete specialized, work-related
courses, which expand your skills — from learning new computer
applications to expanding your proficiency in your current skills.
In order to be reimbursed for a class, you must meet all of the
following requirements:
• Receive approval from your Adecco
Technical recruiter before enrolling in the class or course.
• After successfully completing the course, you must bring
your diploma orcertificate of completion and all receipts of course
costs and books to your local Adecco Technical office.
• Work 500 hours after you complete the course.
After meeting the above requirements, you will receive reimbursement
for up to 50% of the cost of the course and books. The maximum
benefit paid is $500 per course or class. There is no limit to
the number of times you may use this benefit.
You are eligible for tuition reimbursement immediately
after you have started working for Adecco Technical. Ask your Adecco
Technical recruiter for a list of local schools and available courses.
Adecco Technical-Hawaii offers Kaiser Plan A (which
does not include drug or vision). There is a drug rider available
for the cost of $15.85 per month per person.
The cost of medical coverage to the Associate is 1.5%
of their monthly gross income not to exceed 50% of the cost of the
premium (the max cost - $62.39)
We currently cover 50% of dependent care (the cost
to the associate being $62.39).
The maximum cost of dependant care is $124.78 (2 or
more dependants).
Adecco Technical provides our associate employees with a selection
of four types of enhanced benefit plans. These plans are very affordable
and employee premiums are paid through after tax payroll deductions.
Please read the following important information about the Adecco
Technical enhanced benefit plan for all associates.
Each associate must work 110 hours in a prior payroll month in order
to qualify for the enhanced benefit program. Complete details about
each benefit plan option and enrollment procedures will be automatically
mailed to your home address immediately after you satisfy the qualifying
period.
You will be given 60 days from the date you become eligible to complete
your enrollment in any of the plan options ("enrollment period").
If you miss the enrollment period, you will not be given a chance
until the next annual open enrollment period unless you experience
a qualified life status change.
Benefits elected during the enrollment period become
effective on the Monday of the pay cycle in which the first payroll
deductions occur. Generally, it takes about two (2) weeks after
enrollment before the information is activated in the payroll system.
Adecco Technical associates will be offered a variety of coverage
options including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and short-term
disability. You can select the coverage that best fits your individual
needs.
You are not entitled to compensation or any benefits
from Adecco Technical’s customers and your acceptance of any
assignment constitutes an express waiver of any claim to any employee
benefits provided by said customers.
