In 1981, Beverly began her staffing industry career
when she was tasked with the start of up the Hawaii for Medical
Personnel Pool, a large national staffing company. As General Manager,
she developed staffing relationships with the State of Hawaii and
private medical facilities in Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. Beverly
saw the need for a specific niche in the specialty staffing organization,
and personally designed and developed the first “National
Travel Nurse” program, which is still successfully operational
over 10 years later.
Moving to the Personnel Pool division in 1988 for new challenges,
Beverly began supporting companies locally and in the Pacific for
office and technical staffing. Under her guidance the office grew
to be one of the largest and most successful operations in the national
corporate organization.
In 1991, Beverly had the opportunity to purchase a
franchise of Adecco (then ADIA) and operates as a 100% Woman Owned
corporation. She rapidly grew the business to become a leader in
the staffing industry in Hawaii, with the three highly successful
divisions of Adecco Technical (technical and engineering personnel),
TADPGS (DOD cleared personnel) and Adecco (general office and convention
staffing).
Beverly has been involved in Hawaii’s various non-profit organizations
and both public and private sector committees. She served on Governor
Catayano’s School to Work Program committee in the late ‘90’s,
assisting with the planning and implementation of the federal funded
program, and in 2000 served on the State’s Literacy Council.
Beverly is a member of American Savings Bank’s Business Banking
Council and Education America and Heald College Technology Curriculum
committee. She additionally is a requested speaker at Hawaii Pacific
University and Kapiolani Community College. .
Adecco Technical under Beverly Marica’s direction,
were founding members of the Hawaii Technology Trade Association
and she is currently a Director on their Board. She is past President
of the Hawaii Association of Staffing Services and a committee chair
in the Society of Human Resource Managers. Beverly is a member of
and a previous board member in the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu,
and has the distinction of being one of Hawaii’s first female
Rotarians. She is an active member of numerous organizations such
as Hawaii Telecommunications Association, Armed Forces Communications
Electronics Association, and the National Contract Management Association.
